Ezra O. Ely, 81, passed away on July 22, 2016 surrounded by family. He is survived by: his daughter, MaryStar  Ely and her Husband Kevin F. T. Smith; son, Jesse Doyle Ely of California; Nephew, Ed Ely of Arcadia, Indiana; grandchildren Angus Frederick Jess Ely-Smith and Cici Delores Miranda Ely-Smith; and his, brother Larson Ely of Arcadia, Indiana and sister Zuane Ewing of Pennington Gap, Virginia.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Veterans Park in Sheridan Indiana at 2:30 pm. A reception will follow at American Legion Post 67 located in Sheridan, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Indiana Funeral Care.
